Phillip was the original lead singer. Stapp and Tremonti were writing the songs but Stapp was the "silent partner". One night, Stapp and Phillip went out partying one night and took a stroll across the Tallahassee Bridge. Phillip had an "accident" that night. They don't talk about him much.
